Anything Goes : book i'm working on. Just want some feedback to see how it reads so far by Jermaine Minitee

While in the waiting area of a Mexican restaurant Autumn sits in deep thought. The heavy rain pouring down outside matches her mood as it bounces off the glass door as she looks towards the entrance. Her boyfriend Terrance decided to take her out for dinner because he knows she has had a long and stressful work day. Autumn looks down at her phone and thinks to herself “I hope this things doesn’t ring.” When Terrance excuses himself to go to check the status of the wait she quickly puts her phone on vibrate. Terrance comes back and tells her it will be a few more minutes. Then ask her if she is ok. She replies, “yes, just tired.” Autumn had just finished law school recently and just landed a job with big midtown law firm. Terrance is understanding that she is so focused on her career and wants to see her succeed. Terrance himself is not doing badly. He makes his living in real estate buying foreclosed homes, fixing them up, and reselling them. He drives a 2014 Yukon XL Denali and he is not bad on the eyes, 6’1 dark skin, light brown eyes, and waves in his hair that spin 360 degrees. They have been dating for 3 months and Autumn is not used to being treated with the attention and affection he gives her. It’s new and different from her past relationships. Terrance grabs Autumn’s hands as she stares out the door. He asks again ”baby are you sure, you’re ok? You seem out of it.” She answers back. I’m just drained doing a lot of background research for a case I was just assigned.” Autumn then says to Terrance “You don’t have to worry about me besides you never told me how everything went with the house you were looking into today?” Terrance Replies “I took Chris with me. I want to do the deal but Chris is not sure of the income potential of the property.” Chris is Terrance’s business partner and cousin. Terrance explains why Chris is not sold on this particular deal while Autumn drifts into another deep thought. She tries to focus on what Terrance is saying but thinks to herself “I have a good man, but I feel so fucked up right now” thinking the relationship is still new at that moment the hostess comes forward and asks for Terrance party of two. Once seated their waiter comes and ask them their choice of drinks. Autumn replies, “A glass of red wine for me, and a strawberry daiquiri for him” the whole time smiling. Terence just smirks and replies, “You’re not funny. I like what I like.” The waiter comes back over and asks them if they are ready to order. “I’ll have the Chicken Alfredo with garlic bread and for the lady shrimp linguine answers Terence.” While they wait Autumn, she looks down at her cell phone and drifts back into her thoughts. She recalls going over a contract she has just received. While reviewing the document she gets a phone call from a familiar number. She hesitates to answer but she does. The call is from Autumn’s ex-boyfriend Devine. She lets the call go to voicemail. After a few minutes the phone rings again and she answers. “What do you want Devine” asks Autumn. Devine replies; “I can’t call to check up on you. I was just thinking about you that’s all.” Autumn answers back, “Devine I know what you called for and I can’t nor do I want to talk about that right now.” “Hmmm you weren’t saying that last night when I was kissing and licking between your thigh last night
