Hello, everyone. I haven't been on the site long, and I plan to become more active with the discussions in the near future. I am a retired educator from Camden, NJ, and I joined the site after I paid for screenwriting services. After several interests and no bites, I took a hard look at my screenplay. The bottom line: it was boring. So I educated myself and totally revised my script; now it is exciting. I am not criticizing my screenplay writer, but my story is inspired by my involvement in a school corruption case, and the script was void of my passion. NJ has been labeled the most corrupt state in the country, and Camden is one of the most corrupt cities. I invite you to read my script and see for yourself.
I visited Cambden recently on a mission trip with my church. I have to say it was eye opening. Cambden has the second highest poverty rate in the country just under Detroit. I used to teach for Syracuse City Schools so I know what it is like. I commend you for your service.
Thank you for the compliment. The kids were the best thing about the job. Everything else was a challenge.
