I'm part of a film-making group based in NW France. We shoot zero-budget shorts (www.zolascope.com) just for the love of it. But we're in real need of English-speaking acting talent. Do you think it's likely that actors would be willing to travel to France (in exchange for accommodation)? I'm reluctant to post 'job' opportunities if this is going to be perceived as somehow unprofessional or insulting, given that we can't pay. On the other hand, I figured some people might do this sort of thing for their showreels and the experience. How would you feel about this?

Thanks Shannon - I'm aware of the Jobs section. It's just I was trying to gauge opinion about whether offering roles that don't pay qualifies as 'jobs'. ;) And whether people think this is a reasonable thing to do.
We have a ton of non-paid and paid jobs posted. No problem.
I'd love to do this, and I speak a little French. My next trip to France isn't for a year or so however. Flights from Australia are expensive

Hi Rebecca: that is the problem. Our productions (so far) are in English, but finding anglophone talent locally is tricky. And we can't afford to fly people in! (The budget on our last short was 150 euros, mostly for food.) We can offer to accommodate and feed people, so we're looking for actors willing to participate purely for the experience.
