RILEY ROSE MCKESSON – Author/Writer/Producer

Riley Rose McKesson is an author, a professional writer and producer currently working on two film projects with Chas. Floyd Johnson, Executive Producer of NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles, (as well as Producer of Red Tails (2012), which he produced with George Lucas - LucasFilms). The first film is entitled, The Wiles of Vela Kurv and is based on a science fiction book series: The Vela Kurv Legacy Parts I & II () and the second project is a low-budget romantic comedy currently in development. McKesson has written treatments, story synopses and analyses, and produced several short films for Sundance Film Festival. She has also worked with the Webby Award Winning web series creator of BZ Shorts.

McKesson’s background includes film finance work through Broadway Federal Bank for Deborah Pratt (Quantum Leap Co-Executive Producer, and Magnum, P.I., Writer); Chas. Floyd Johnson, (Executive Producer and collaborative partner of Donald Bellisario, Executive Producers for Airwolf, Quantum Leap, Magnum, P.I., NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles); and Moctesuma Esparza of Mayan Entertainment, award winning Producer of Selena and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree from The WP Carey School of Business at ASU, a graduate of The UCLA Writers Program and a Screenwriter. She has over 10 years experience as an Investment Banking Professional.

At present, McKesson is the Director of Marketing & Sales for SP Turner Group, Wine Brokerage for Safeway/Vons/Pavilions grocer and the Managing Editor for EXOTIC Adventure & Travel Magazine that is published both digitally and in hardcopy. Additionally, her background includes the following positions: Corporate Communications/ Community Relations Manager at Barnes & Noble and a News and Media Writer for a Skyword, a content creation platform driven by digital marketing for implementation of brand development through social media. She is a highly motivated corporate communications professional of interactive marketing as well as the implementation of comprehensive integrated solutions. She has worked closely as a Communications Consultant/ Writer with a number of organizations that sought out web media, Internet marketing, grants and sales strategies. Her creative accreditations include the WGA Foundation, Storyboard, a Screenplay Development Group at 20th Century Fox Studios, RedShirts (Sci-Fi Writers Group) – selected member of UCLA Writers Program Instructor & accredited writer: Ron Wilkerson - Star Trek The Next Generation, Voyager & Stargate SG-1, as well as Story Analysis screenplay evaluations, and other literary properties under the supervision of Barney Lichtenstein, former story analyst for Amblin Entertainment, New Line Cinema, and Largo Entertainment.
