Daniel Colaianni grew up in Upper St. Clair, PA to film loving parents. The darkened theater they brought him to became his home and the films he saw turned into his life. His mind wandered throughout the worlds he saw and that built his drive to make films. He took his love and inspirations from directors such as Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, and Paul Thomas Anderson to the screen. He began with stop motion films with superhero action figures and an IPod. Then he went big. He finally graduated to film cameras instead of the IPod he filmed stop motion on. There he was able to take his stories he had in his mind and finally began to write short and feature length scripts. The likes of Aaron Sorkin, Paul Thomas Anderson, Noah Baumbach, and Shane Black influenced his writing greatly. Daniel has directed and written short drama films such as Confession and For No One while he attended film school at La Roche University. Confession has currently been accepted to festivals around the country.
