I’m a divorced oil refinery inspector from Canada and live in camps or motels across the country most of the year, amongst blue-collar, trades workers, working oil refinery and nuclear plant shutdowns. This lifestyle, according to Execs I’ve pitched to, is DERANGED. But it’s normal to me.
It’s now been eight years since I made an Easter, a Thanksgiving, or my daughter’s birthday. And I’m not the only one. I’ve got work friends all over the world, who are just like me.
I love films from the 70’s and 80’s. I’m guided by writing things I would like to see with financial feasibility in mind.
Unique traits: Connected to the blue-collar, Trades worker target audience.
SHUTDOWN Drama ⋄ Comedy A lone-wolf oil refinery worker battles himself, his maniac co-workers, and the refinery itself, for one last shot at redemption on a job that could be do-or-die.
