Peace and blessings to everyone! Hope all is well with you all! Just to quickly introduce myself...I am Connecticut born and raised. Began performing at the age of 3 years old. Began my musical experience singing in choruses, playing the trumpet in several bands and performing in many school productions, which included a statewide theater competition. As a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a BA of Fine Arts: Concentration in Music Performance, I have taken all of my experience as a singer, actor and overall performer and began to pursue a career in entertainment. As a singer, I have been fortunate to share the stage with and/or collaborate with Grammy Award and Stellar Award vocalists which includes Beverly Crawford, Donnie McClurkin, Charmagne Tripp, Daryl Coley, VaShawn Mitchell as well as a host of other superstar performers. One of the greatest experiences I've had as a singer was having the opportunity to sing with the legendary Queen of New Orleans Soul, Betty Harris. But my focused changed a bit from wanting to sing just to sing TO singing with a purpose and about issues that are crippling our communities. Thus my direction turning toward developing a stage play. It seems as like once I turned 30 years old, the light bulb finally came on. Not sure if it is a male thing or a growing up thing. Regardless, I'm glad it came on. I began to notice how a lot of people deal with so many issues internally and how some create worlds in their minds to avoid reality and the pain associated with it. I've also noticed more and more how cultural taboos influence people's perception, decisions, influences, etc. And the more I thought about these things, the more pissed off I became. SO I wanted to start talking about stuff. Combining music with theatrics can truly speak more loudly than just mere talking can. So this is what motivated me to begin writing and how the script for my stage play, THE OTHER SIDE was birthed. 3 years of writing, processing and personal stories being shared with me went into this script. In this play, I'm talking about everything....probably stuff that is more taboo in the African American culture, but nevertheless, taboos that are universal. Sexuality, Identity, Abuse, Love, Religious Dogma... Yeah, I'm going there and am truly not afraid. Also working on the soundtrack for THE OTHER SIDE. I have some of the greatest vocalists and songwriters coming together for this project to help those who will listen to this album make it over to their "OTHER SIDE". Album will be a SHOW-E RECORDS production. I am the executive producer and musical supervisor. Album will be released on June 1, 2013. So I'm real busy. Traveling to Washington DC to do some filming. Then heading over to Los Angeles and back to Connecticut...the back to Los Angeles and return to Connecticut.... Tedious, yet worth it! YESSIR! So this is a little bit about me. I would love to chat with some of you about the things that you are working on and really strengthen the network. One thing I've learned is the power of collaboration. Can't achieve success without it. Look forward to the collabs..... C
