Atiya Gamieldien

I am a 23 year old film fanatic. When I was in 9th Grade, I wrote and directed a movie trailer for a school project. I got alot of praise from it as well as full marks. That made the wheels inside my brain spin, thinking this is actually something I could do. I've always had a love for story telling and before the project, I used to write a number of books on a platform called Wattpad.

In 11th Grade, I worked as a runner on a film set as a job shadowing assignment. This is when I was positive about the career I wanted.

After High School, I got accepted to two major film schools in the area. That was SAE and AFDA. Due to not being able to get the funding for school, I unfortunately had to decline the offer and decided to work and save up to pay for studies. In the meantime, I have written a number of short films as well as a TV series.
