Vicki McCarty, President of Covington International, first entered the entertainment industry at the young age of five when she began her acting career starring with such notables as Elizabeth Montgomery, Vic Morrow, and Elvis Presley. While majoring in Communication Studies at UCLA, Vicki’s focus shifted to behind the scenes. She entered the studio system working for such maverick producers as Stephen Friedman, James G. Robinson, and Ray Stark. Eventually Vicki’s passion for talent and her experience in production led her to open her own talent management company, representing actors in film, television, and theatre. For several years, Vicki served as a Board Member in The Conference Of Personal Managers which actively participated in the legislation of the Talent Agency Bill as well as the Stalker Bill. As Vicki’s talent base extended to include writers and directors, Vicki entered the realm of producing. Vicki was Executive Producer on the internationally acclaimed films “The Event” (Olympia Dukakis, Parker Posey, Sarah Polley), “3 Needles” (Lucy Liu, Stockard Channing, Chloe Sevigny, Sandra Oh), and “Cloudburst” (Oscar winners Brenda Fricker and Olympia Dukakis). Vicki entered the realm of television as Executive Producer on the acclaimed Canadian Mini-Series “Sex & Violence”.
