Dorota Latour

Theatrical and documentary film director. Graduated from University of A. Mickiewicz in Poznan on Faculty of Literature (Master’s In Literature and Polish Philology 1986) and Public High Theatrical School in Krakow, Faculty of Directing (Master’s diploma 1990, PHD diploma 2022). I have been working in Krakow and Poznan theatres: The National Helena Modrzejewska Old Theatre in Krakow, The Folk Theatre, The Polish Theatre directing several plays (own texts as well as Polish and Russian classics). Since 1991 I have been working as director of about 30 documentary films and over 70 tv reportages, short documentaries and artistic programs for Polish Public Television (TVP1, TVP2, TVP POLONIA), cooperating also with German RTL and Brasilia TV Cultura. Much of my filmmaking is devoted to social, historical and cultural subjects, contribution to understanding between different cultures and nations, as f.e. the documentary "Sendung. Przesyłka" 2016. Sice September 2014 she is art director and the owner of Internet Film & Comedy Academy. The author of the feature film script "Winter Train" 2020 - in development, PISF donation, and the coauthor of feature film scipt "Small Heavens" 2022.
