About Nilüfer

Nilüfer Özseven focuses on feature films and documentary-making.

She worked as an art director, photographer, costume designer and scriptwriter, in her previous years. In 2017 she decided to film her own scripts and practiced filmmaking in more than 30 short films while she's having an intensive filmmaking course in London.

Nowadays she started a journey from Germany, for making connections, practicing and improving her filmmaking skills with professional crews and also wishing to find an ideal & alternative location where she can meet and collaborate with like-minded people. In other words, she's willing to structure and improve her skills and works locally and internationally and cooperates with people in common sense, to create masterpieces for the benefit of a peaceful world.

Unique traits: After focusing on the fields of Archeology and History of Art and Costume Design, she starts to practice a lifestyle that she can combine modern & rural, civilized&wild lives. Sometimes practicing on the sea as a deckhand on sailing boats, sometimes living in the eco-villages, but mostly in the cities, she always aimed to find ways that can combine those choices in harmonious and balanced ways as much as she can. Preferably she's interested in documentary-making, the connections between the ancient times' fairytales, poetries, heritages and crafts with today's world lifestyle and technologies, focusing on, in between myths to real-life facts and real people.

Drama by Splendid Pictures (Drama) Art Director, Costume Designer Mahir is pressured to finish his novel in one week by his publisher. If not, his apartment will be sequestrated thus he’ll lose the remnants of his past. The happy days of his past become a shelter for Mahir, while his childhood’s first love Aslı becomes an obsession for him. A beautiful typist girl enters his life and Mahir starts to work. Mahir now has the power to manipulate his past as he dreams. As he starts writing the novel we enter a journey into this world. As they continue to work Mahir shares his memories about Aslı with the typist. We find ourselves in the midst of his past, his novel and his present. Until, Sinem reaches for more than she should know.
