About Jen

Jen Butler specializes in writing feature-length, multi-layered drama and fantasy screenplays focusing on the complex nature of humans as we navigate spiritual and emotional awakenings.

Jen was once a shy (and oddly sweaty) preteen, who finally found freedom and confidence through theatre, film studies, and the transformative magic of storytelling. She majored in Professional Writing in college and got a 4.0 GPA (which literally no one asks about, ever). She's won non-fiction writing contests, had plays and monologues produced, and had multiple articles published. Her first feature-length screenplay, End of Scene, has been placing well in festivals and just won at the Big Apple Film Festival! This makes Jen's mom very proud.

When not writing screenplays, Jen tells comedic real-talk stories to her 110,000 TikTok followers (@jenbutlersays), or is watching other movies that inspire her. (Or baking shows.)
