J Michael David is a US Army Veteran, former Federal Agent, Entrepreneur and Film Maker. And most importantly, a proud father. Born and raised in the wine country in Northern California, J Michael enlisted in the Army in 1999 where he spent roughly a decade in uniform, traveling across the globe, first as a Military Policeman (MP) then Special Agent in the US Army's Criminal Investigation Division (CID).
After leaving the military, J Michael was hired as a civilian CID Special Agent in Laguna Niguel, CA where he quickly deployed to Kuwait as a member of the International Contract Crimes Task Force (ICCTF). After returning from Kuwait, J Michael was selected to serve at the U.S. Army CID Headquarters in Fort Belvoir, VA which relocated to Quantico, VA, during J Michael’s time as a member of the office. J Michael finished his service as Federal Agent, working as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Postal Service Office Of Inspector General's mid Atlantic field office, headquartered in Arlington, VA, where he oversaw federal agents working across five (5) U.S. States.
In 2012, J Michael resigned from Government service and relocated to Sarasota, FL, where he founded "JDub's Brewing Company", which quickly became one of the fastest growing breweries in the State of Florida and the entire Southeastern U.S. During the mandated closure of JDub's during the COVID pandemic, JDub's was forced to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy. After which, J Michael sold his shares in the brewery to pursue his lifelong dream in film, temporary relocating to Nashville, TN, to attend the Nashville Film Institute (NFI). While attending NFI, J Michael worked on several film production sets and directed his first commercial project, "Cottonmouth", by country artist Donovan Chapman. Following graduation from NFI, J Michael relocated back to Sarasota, FL, and continued schooling at The San Francisco Film School (SFFS). J Michael owns Film Taurus Media LLC, a Digital Production and Marketing Company. Film Taurus Media has several film projects in various levels of production, and is most recently in pre-production on the pilot episode of "Fed Story", a multi season series.
