Would you consider it appropriate to include my IMDb link in my written pitch if I've had work produced?
I would. And I sometimes do. But that is just me. It is a quick way of letting them know a bit about you but that is just my opinion. What do others say?
Sounds fine to me, Dewayne Edwards.

Depends on the deliverables. If in email, links tend to trip spam filters and people will never see your mail. If in a bio on a pdf, maybe, if relevant to what you're pitching - e.g., if you're pitchi...

If in a bio on a pdf, maybe, if relevant to what you're pitching - e.g., if you're pitching romance and all your credits are horror, then don't include the link. In general, they only care about the story you're pitching. If you have recent and relevant titles, just include the titles in the bio.
As a Screenwriting System for managing the Writing Process, I find the STC (Save The Cat) very powerful, quick, and highly efficient in helping with FINISHING a Script. Have you tried using it? Have you tried using it? How does it differ from the Snowflake Method, Truby's 22 Building Blocks, the Writer's Journey, the Hero's Journey, Jeff Schechter's System, Mitchell German's Fantastic Frameworks, or do you simply use the Classical 8 Sequence Structuring Scaffold?
Definitely check out the Turn & Burn structure, Tucker Teague.
Ah-hah! CJ Walley you've done the structure comparison infographic I was thinking of on your Turn and Burn structure post - I knew I'd seen it somewhere :-)
Hey, I would consider doing the Nutshell Technique method as well.
Michael Hague is also very good. I've seen him present here in NY as well as in Austin, Texas. John Truby has a masterclass lecture on genres, which can usually be found on YouTube.
CJ Walley thanks for that.
I posted originally in this group about 4 years ago and then essentially disappeared, so I'm hoping to remedy that mistake.

I'm a screenwriter from Greenville, NC who just had their first script, "The Girl in the Pool," made into a film starring Freddie Prinze Jr, Monica Potter, and Kevin Pollack. My next project, "Ex Games," is one that I'm planning to fund and direct myself this fall. In addition to these, I've written a dozen other scripts ranging from thrillers (like those listed above) to westerns to romantic dramas and comedies.
If there is anyone who wants to be writing friends or provide any advice, I'm all ears! Hope you're all having a great week.
Hey, Jackson Reid Williams. Congratulations on having your first script made into a movie!

Hi Jack!, some really good stuff going on. Congrats all around. :)
Congrats! Keep up the good work.
Hi, Jackson. Congrats on your success. Would be happy to connect/network. Have to check out Girl In The Pool. Talk to you soon!
If you had to pick between the two. Would you do a pitch session or a script read with a 30 minute call with an Executive?
Hey, Dewayne Edwards. I've done both, and they've both helped me rewrite my pitches and scripts. The Feature Script Read/30-minute Talk with Executive REALLY helped me make my pitch and script better...

The Feature Script Read/30-minute Talk with Executive REALLY helped me make my pitch and script better (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Stage-32-Feature-Script-Read-30-min...). So, I pick Feature Read/Talk.
I would personally start with the pitch session. If it only helps you move forward, I say do this before doing a script reading.
I've only done the written pitches, Dewayne Edwards. I will say that I enjoyed the 30 minute talk (which turned into 45) because you have a little more time to get to know the executive and make your...

In your opinion, what has been the best avenues in finding representation? Whether a Stage 32 service or not.

Expand commentI can't even tell you how many rejections I've received throughout the years. Always keep fine tuning your work, your writing skills, and query, query, query, as many companies, and agents you can. And if you know someone in the industry, or if you know someone who knows someone else, don't hesitate in asking for advice or even some help in guiding you in a certain direction. It took me several years to land an agent and it lasted for two years until we parted ways. It took another year or so to land yet another agent. While this response may sound negative or critical, the point I'm trying to make is simple. While one door in life closes, there are always several others that will pop up.
Building relationships/networking, Dewayne Edwards. That's how I got a manager back in 2009.
