About Stephen

Stephen Sonneveld is an accomplished writer across many disciplines who won the Kennedy Center Outstanding Playwright Award, and had scripts advance at the Austin Heart of Screenwriting and New York Television festivals, among other accolades. He used his platform as a columnist for Bleacher Report to join the chorus of voices that brought an end to the NFL’s use of a racist team name, and advocated for the unionization of professional wrestling, an extensive article which has been cited in numerous academic papers and journals. For five seasons, Sonneveld wrote and performed in a successful scripted radio show with frequent collaborator Andrew Krzak. As early as 2007, Sonneveld has been writing comic and children’s books (and even illustrated a few). Critics have called some of those works “raw emotion that opens us up to the harsh reality of bullying" (Blogcritics Magazine, on Pandora’s Lunchbox), “unsentimentally impressive” and a “tremendously fulfilling read” (Slings & Arrows Graphics Novel Guide, Bleeding Cool, on Greye of Scotland Yard).
