About Ciara

Hi. I am a illustrator and printmaker based in London. I have been credited for a number of small piece, including the cover art for Rodney Marshall's book 'Diabolical Masterminds: A Fan's Guide to The Avengers Series 4'. I am also an aspiring writer, working on original short stories and screenplays. I love concepts that can captivate an audience, from (just to name a couple) placing ordinary people in extraordinary or absurdist scenarios, larger than life characters with heart, and intriguing mysteries urge resolution.

I am a massive Sci-Fi and Fantasy fan drawn to spectacular and imaginative worlds, though I also love comedy (witty, physical comedy, and absurdist), mystery, monster movies, and adventure films, live action and animation alike. What's important within films and TV shows like these, I believe, is grounded and likable characters. Whether it's sympathetic heroes and rogues with hearts of gold, or villains whether individually recognisable or metaphor for real-world horrors (greed, fascism, apathy etc.).

Growing up watching reruns of old Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo, Teen Titans and Power Rangers, and a whole bunch of Disney stuff from various eras, I am on a never-ending quest to expand my viewing horizons within film and television within Britain, but also from all corners of the world (in particular, cult films and tv - the madder, the better!). I hope that through this, I'll become a better writer, and grow a little older and wiser.
