Justin Turah

Justin Turah is an author and a screenwriter from the Garkida area of northeastern Nigeria. His book, The Retribution, published by Spectrum Books Limited, Ibadan, is recommended for use in schools by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) and the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, Nigeria.
Mr. Turah believes that screenwriting is where his passion is. He has crafted and horned a limited series of feature projects that includes Blood Oil: The Quest and its series, Blood Oil: The Maelstrom, and Blood Oil: The Retribution, currently in the 2023 Realness Institute Episodic Lab Contest, which he hopes to pitch to Netflix at the end of the program.

Growing up with parents who moved around northeast Nigeria a lot, Justin Turah was privileged to experience different cultures and meet different people from different backgrounds at an early age. As a grownup, Justin Turah traveled around the country quite a bit, read so many produced screenplays, and then began his write-ups. He’s working on his fourth series, "Blood Oil: The Stalemate."
