April D. Lundy, M.F.A., Associate Professor of Film and Television Studies at Clark Atlanta University and media producer/director/writer holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Digital Filmmaking & Art and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Georgia State University. She has produced and directed independent feature films, commercials, music videos, reality television, as well as other media projects. Lundy proved to be a staple in the entertainment industry working with artists such as Whitney Houston, Tyler Perry, Ne-Yo, Outkast, and Usher, to name a few. She founded two of the Southeast’s most successful full-service film production companies and has produced, written, and directed media projects for Bravo, Sony-Columbia, Black Entertainment Television, TV One, Warner Brothers, LaFace, Arista, and other major media companies.
Additionally, Lundy has conducted, presented, and published academic research internationally in France, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Jamaica, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Her research interests include Black depictions in global media, transmedia, eLearning, and the representations of intersectionality in film and reality television.
