About Sheldon

I am a licensed child and adolescent psychologist (recently retired) and a screenwriter with my son, Lee J. Kaplan. We have written several screenplays and continue to do so that fall into the genre of family drama. In my profession, I have seen many problems with children and families which have served as foundations for our screenplays. Lee is an accomplished actor, writer, producer, director and voiceover artist who has a renown one man show "Bully: The Fight of His Life" which has been seen by over 20000 children and parents, college students and teachers in Florida, California, New York, Texas, Arkansas, and various schools and community theaters around the US as well as in Canada and The Netherlands. He has also won the Best Actor Award, and Best Short Film Award in several international festivals for his film "Attempt to Rise". Together we write screenplays with the goal of making films that inspire and send a message of resiliency and integrity through life's struggles.
