About Jamie
I have a B.A. in English Literature, a M.A. in Writing, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, focused on Stage and Screen and Fiction. My two feature-length scripts have each made it to the Second Round of the Austin Film Festival, and I have been a Quarterfinalist in multiple other competitions, including Bluecat Screenplay Competition. I have loved books and film since I was a little girl, and I "read" movies like I do novels. I'm a veritable encyclopedia of film history/trivia. I also enjoy acting and audition for stage work as often as I can, typically in the nearby community theater districts, but I aim to do it professionally, via stage, screen, and voice. I'm interested in diverse genres and modes of storytelling. Additionally, I possess incisive producer instincts and enjoy scouting adaptation materials for production companies. I want to learn as much as I can about the filmmaking process through experience, so if you need an eager and willing PA, script editor, or any other old thing, I have a swift and precise learning curve.
