About Katherine
Katherine Sheyno is a screenwriter and film director with a background in science as a cancer researcher and also in architecture and construction, where she won a Designer of the Year award.
Katherine studied a film directing under an Oscar-winning professor at a prestigious film school and participated in the Cannes Film Festival with a student short, where she was scouted by the producers from Los Angeles. As a film director and screenwriter, Katherine was developing a feature film project, the psycho-thriller Shaving Fish, with Stephen Dorff and Mena Suvari. Unfortunately due to the Pandemic, it was canceled.
Then Katherine has created a psycho-crime thriller, feature film project Jack and Blue. It's based on a version of the screenplay of a short movie, that she shot in 2022. It participated in 25 film festivals around the world, received a distribution offer from the WeShort channel and the Cannes Film Agency. The script for the feature film became a semi-finalist for Scriptapalooza, a Golden Pen Awards nominee, and even a second rounder for ScreenCraft and Page International script contests.
