About Katherine
In 2020 she wrote the script Jack & Blue, and to help launch it, she decided to make a short film in 2021. The Jack & Blue short played in 23 film festivals and received numerous awards, as well as distribution by the Cannes film agency and by WeShort.
Katherine graduated from prestigious Film Conservatory of Directors and Screenwriters in Moscow. (2-year workshop with Oscar winning film Director Vladimir Menshov) and went to Cannes Film festival with her student’s short film Pretty Close, she was invited to USA by Producers from Los Angeles to develop the new projects there.
Also Katherine graduated as a medical biotechnologist (MS in Biochemistry and Molecular biology) and worked in a Cancer Research Center for 4 years.
After Soviet Union collapsed, where she has got her University education, Katherine has moved to Hong Kong and spent the next 12 years as an interior designer and small-form architect, heading her own studio Cheshire Cat and founding a construction company Berling Co.
