About Dejan
Dejan Škipina is a worldwide awarded director of photography. He was born in Sarajevo.
After all the efforts to stay there longer, life eventually took him to Belgrade, where he now lives with his family.
He met comics when he was very young when instead of sweets he got his first copies of comics from his uncle and he still has them today. With his uncle, he also draws the first shots of comics that have been published, but at the moment he has remained only as a reader and fan of comics. He was grateful to his uncle for introducing him to that magnificent black-and-white world of pencil and ink because it meant a lot to him to find and choose his true love later. He chooses Film Photography, from which he lives today as a director of photography, and worked on a lot of short and long film projects. From 2021. member of UFUS presented as a freelancer.As a director of photography worked on films that are awarded at festivals all around the world ( USA, UK, Sweden, Turkey, Korea, Bulgaria, etc. )
As a cameraman made many documentary reports that were shown on national and European television stations. Also, l set up two TV studios for broadcasts.
Working as a freelance photographer and cinematographer, also a colorist.
I have recommendations from the directors of photography and from a couple of productions with which I have actively collaborated for several years.
