About Michaelene

BIO
Michaelene Conner

“I kept whittling down my dream from literary fame to modest riches to just getting a book deal to, simply writing a great screenplay. I started late in life. I turned out to be one of those individuals who after observing and wandering down the aisles of life knew what I was brought into this world to do. Some say that we reveal the unanswered questions in our lives by the nature of the things we try to teach others.

I have worked 25+ years as a life coach and writer of health and wellness articles serving others to demystify major mind and body behavioral change. My articles have helped numerous clients achieve a routine filled with life balance. As a coach, I help people find a path through their own jungle. Their jungle becomes an opportunity to explore new territory and advance understanding of the human condition as it relates to their change needs.

When speaking, consulting, or writing on topics surrounding the modern world, I never promise to have all the answers, nor do I promise that my way is the only way. Instead, I offer the experience and insights that have been acquired from years of coaching others.

I appreciate stories of epic proportion such as Dune or as simple as Those Who Wish Me Dead. I appreciate a great story that makes me laugh out loud, boo hoo hard, and continuously restless in my seat. If I am going to invest time writing, I like satisfying endings but am ok a surprise in the next session. Visit for more information or email coachmikeconner@.

GOOD BRAIN BAD BRAIN YOUR BRAIN (2015)
Internet by Coach Michaelene Conner author Good Brain Bad Brain Your Brain, allows the general public to grasp a non-medical but validated means to understand how the brain talks to us. Conner has spent 25 years observing real-world experiences, drawing on cutting edge research, and authoring many articles about how the brain operates. This book combines the science and the humanistic, reinforcing the notion that consciousness cannot be separated from the body by presenting compelling scientific evidence that what we think can change our future self. The reader will be presented with the daily circumstances every human is confronted with along with the introspective perspectives used by the brain to interpret day-to-day situations, actions and the neurology of those behaviors. Conner states that our brains cling to established patterns of thinking in order to pursue the illusion of being able to forecast the future, while instead we should be focused on questioning and developing new patterns of thinking that will allow us to quickly and effectively respond to life’s unforeseen events as they occur. Good Brain Bad Brain Your Brain will take the reader through the progression of “what” and “how” our six senses and emotions affect the brain’s habitual patterns of behavior and the new mindset necessary to prepare for navigating the dramatic transition required to shift those embedded neurological patterns. New thinking represents the framework for rational change, mental constructs of consciousness and gives us the capability to rewrite those constructs. Conner points to the simple fact that our brain’s decisions are a finely tuned blend of both feelings and perceptions and our actions or reactions are a precise mix depending on the specific circumstances. Because each person’s genetic blueprint is different, Conner has focused on how to change rather than what must change. She suggests that brain change of a human self becomes challenged when faced with information different from the brain’s ingrained view of reality. This new and sometimes conflicting information prompts a radical break in thinking effecting a narrowing of perception. Yet learning to manage this shifting view of reality can become a source of learning allowing the brain to revisit and rewrite new levels of life regulation. Conner leaves no doubt that the brain’s mental blueprint for change is genetically well established from birth. Good Brain Bad Brain Your Brain is all about the brain’s capability to rethink well-established patterns of behaviors in order to curate a state of mental stability while preserving physical and emotional energy. Above all, this book provides a mental roadmap to becoming more fully engaged in life, physically energized, emotionally connected, and mentally focused. Conner’s goal is to help each reader question how the brain settled on a decision and what can be done to improve on those decisions. She leaves you with the reality that the human condition is always vulnerable to stresses and cannot prevent life’s disruptions, but learning the skills necessary to bounce back quickly will prepare the brain to navigate the transitions critical to influencing thinking, which influences alternatives, which influences actions, allowing us to reinvent the ways and means of achieving and magnifying a new future self.
