I'm a Polish and Kurdish woman raised in Lund, Sweden. I've recently graduated from Lund University and the UCEAP exchange program at UCLA, where I studied Film and Television. At UCLA, I focused on producing and development. I also took my passion for animation and attended a Stop Motion class where I produced my first animation short. Following my graduation in June 2023, I plan to further my journey in Producing and Creative Development.
At my home university, I studied the theoretical field of Intermedial Studies. The field is multi- and interdisciplinary and partly characterized by the special interests of the individual researchers. I have chosen to apply this to film. Intermedial studies is interested in the interaction of similarities and differences between media and the changes that may occur in communicative material when transported from one media top to another. By learning intermedial theories and developing and applying diversified critical thinking to different cases and phenomena, I have deepened my understanding of the complexity of communication through and with media in a broader context. In my papers, I have discussed culture and applied theories such as narratology, semiotics, and adaptation to film cases, music videos, and stand-up comedy.
