Man's Work
(
Film (short)
by Hauptstadtlichter TV / Rudy Redl, Katharina Koschny
I am a thief - this is how man sees himself in relation to the planet earth. But despite everything that we forcibly snatch from it, we long to find our way back to its eternal wisdom. A first-person narrator takes us on an emotional journey with the help of a colorful and graphically strong sequence of images - from greed and pride to the confession of the longing for security. The graphically and colorfully impressive detailed photographs of cityscapes lead the viewer to a new way of seeing and understanding, based on edting techniques as hard cuts, fades, blurs and morphing. The underlying soundscapes deepen the emotionally moving impression on a more abstract level.
Who You Are
(
Film (short)
by Hauptstadtlichter TV / Rudy Redl, Katharina Koschny
A supra-temporal figure as a voice of thought reflects the question of whether you really know a person, even if you love him from the depths of your soul. The named person also symbolically stands for everything that lives; for all creatures that go their own ways independently, get lost and yet want to arrive where they find true security and genuine understanding. Based on the paintings entitled "The Gallery of Ancestors" by the Swiss painter Raffaela Zenoni, the film shows a collage of music, words and images in which the individual images, arranged as if in alternating triptychs, gradually change and enter into ever new relationships with one another.
