I am a Seasoned Filmmaker who has worked on Features, Television, Commercials, Documentaries, and Broadcast. I have worked in every position in every department in film, minus hair and makeup. Consequently, I have a complete and comprehensive understanding of how to actualize a project from idea to screen.
I visualize myself as “the eye of the hurricane” on a production and the more (seeming) chaos that surrounds me, the more peace and calm I maintain in contrast. I am absolutely passionate about the work, value great communication (which is essential), set ambitious yet achievable expectations, and I am SOLUTIONS-BASED. There are no such things as “problems” - all a problem is, is potential for a solution. I love multi-tasking and lean toward OCD (functional OCD) with my meticulous, organizational nature.
99% of what I know about in production I’ve learned from “what not to do”. Either my own previous mistakes or, largely from the mistakes of others. By process of elimination I’ve come up with best practices and strategies for every aspect of the process. Time efficiency, cost-effectiveness, increasing production value, balancing autonomy with collaboration, LISTENING CONSTANTLY, remaining humble, always learning/always teaching, treating everything and everyone with RESPECT, honest and open communication, empathy, compassion, and leading by example…
