Born in The Gambia, Tiana moved to Anchorage, Alaska with her family at the age of 4. She left Alaska to study history and film at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Tiana left D.C. to attend NYU’s Tisch Asia graduate film program in Singapore. In the three years Tiana lived in Asia she produced, taught, wrote and directed films both locally and abroad. Tiana has won several awards for her writing; including the 2017 Hollywood Foreign Press Association grant for her short film 'Sand Dunes', shot in her home state of Alaska.
