About Sasha

Sasha Kai is a 'neurospicy' writer, producer and podcaster who channels her varied life experience - as a poor kid in rural Ohio, as a political organizer in DC, and as a startup co-founder in Silicon Beach - into dynamic, underdog characters and genre bending narratives. Sasha's stories spotlight those who are determined to survive (and thrive) when the pursuit of the American Dream turns out to be a nightmare.

Her original Horror feature "Black Girl Magic" was an official HorrOrigins Film Festival selection, took home Best Genre Screenplay at the 17th Annual StoryPro Screenplay Awards, and was a Finalist in the Filmmatic Horror Screenplay Awards.

Sasha holds a Masters from USC and currently resides in foothills of Los Angeles.
