AJ duFresne is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. He has a BA in history from Bowling Green State University, an MPA in Public Administration, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Findlay. Mr. duFresne has a deep love for history and storytelling. He founded Lake Erie TV and Lake Erie Films after seven years as a professor at the University of Findlay and studio manager for UFTV. He left UFTV to embark upon a career as a producer, director, writer, and editor. He most recently won Best Short Film for Act of God at the Los Angeles Film and Documentary Awards (July 2024). Best Director of a Short Documentary at the Nice International Film Festival (May 2024). He is a Peabody nominee who has written and produced several documentaries.
