Susanne Jonsson

Susanne grew up in the rural north of Sweden before moving to the USA in her 20s. Her humble country upbringing shaped her resourceful imagination and fueled her creativity. While her corporate career took center stage for a time, her passion for storytelling simmered in the background.

With a keen interest in human behavior, life’s purpose, and humor, Susanne’s writing naturally gravitates toward dark drama, comedy, and unique, eccentric characters. Drawing from both the good and bad of her personal experiences, she loves to spin them into quirky, darkly humorous stories that offer a fresh perspective on life’s complexities.

Susanne is incredibly excited that her first screenplay, Baby Goat, received a double recommendation on Stage 32’s Industry Review—an encouraging start to her screenwriting journey. She’s eager to connect with producers, directors, and fellow creatives who share a love for compelling storytelling.
