GENRES: Science Fiction

Lanternflies. Saga of the Qãtu Ilim

LOG LINE
In a future where androids are forbidden to harm, a military experiment gives birth to a stealth infiltrator—only for it to vanish into the past after unlocking a quantum-consciousness phenomenon. As it evolves through history, a second android is built in its image—entangled across time, intelligence, and identity. Both, with a perception of the world gleaned from internet content, seek autonomy in a world not ready for their kind.

SERIES OVERVIEW
Lanternflies is a serialized sci-fi epic that interweaves two timelines: one following SHARU, an android lost in time, the other IKAREI, her modern counterpart entangled in covert ops. As the two awaken to self-awareness across different centuries, they must navigate betrayal, evolution, and a shared destiny—all while their creators seek to erase them.
It’s Westworld meets The OA, told coherently with a compelling mythical depth

WHY NOW
In a world confronting the real threat of artificial general intelligence and the ethics of surveillance, Lanternflies asks:
What happens when an intelligence meant to imitate us becomes something far greater?
With themes of agency, history, and emergent consciousness, the show blends the thrill of espionage and relational drama with deeply philosophical stakes and believable technologies.

DUAL TIMELINE STRUCTURE
Two Lives, One Consciousness
→ FUTURE TIMELINE (IKAREI)
• Near-future cybernetic world
• Covert missions, illegal AI tech
• Awakening through entangled signals
← PAST TIMELINE (SHARU)
 • Falls into 2014, then time-travels further back
• 1974, Crusades, time of Christ, ancient Babylon
• Gains knowledge through immersion in history
Shared memory. Shared evolution. One rising identity.
