A well rounded musical genius who's uncanny ability to subtly blend gospel with jazz and Caribbean flavors is the quintessence of musical perfection. Born in Tobago West Indies, Petula Beckles began her story as a child protégé performing her first song at age 5, which later led her to become the Golden Star Karaoke Girl in Tobago at age 14. She was recently signed to Tate Music Group, who released her debut album “My Song of Jesus.” Petula has toured much of the east coast, gracing stages as Hard Rock Cafe, Village Underground, Nuyorican Poet’s Café, C-Room Atlanta, and the Knitting Factory. She has shared billing and stages with gospel greats as Canton Jones, Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, and Lisa McClendon, and is a 2012 winner of the En Sound Music Awards for "Best Jazz Performance".
