Matt Sanford's Reel

This voice over was part of a project to raise money for the East San Gabriel Health Center and an associated project: The East San Gabriel Valley Partnership. I'm available to add my voice to your project. Please contact me if you're interested.

I wrote, shot and edited this commercial for a local used car dealer. They wanted to tell a story that related to and introduced their business. You can also hear my voice narrating this spot.

This is an example of the long form promotional/informational videos I have worked on. The total running time for this particular work is fifteen minutes. Seen here is the first five minutes of the piece. It was created to encourage people to give money to the church for future expansion. The idea was to present the history of the church as well as explain future plans. I shot many photos and news articles that I later edited down to finish the project. Chad Johnstone, with whom I often collaborated, lent his voice to the video.

I shot all the b-roll footage of the homeless soldier, portrayed by Juan Escobedo (who also directed the piece). It dramatizes a poem written by Professor of Spanish Literature, Froylan Cabuto. This short film won an Award of Conscience at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival,Short Film Corner. Dave Kibo was responsible for the excellent final edit seen here.
