I'm a Midwesterner. I hail from 'The Heartland', others have referred to it as "The Armpit of The Americas." Perhaps, it's because of the humid weather, but i lovingly call it Home. Is it because I was born here? Probably. Very Recently, I reached a personal, lifetime achievement (Don't laugh. Okay. Laugh... but only because you have no idea what I've been through. To me, this is a BIG deal.): I turned 30 years old (It's an award/reward in itself) Mostly, I feel like a senior citizen, which brings us to our next topic of conversation.---------> I LOVE old people. They tell the best stories, besides children. They also usually smell a little funny, but that's the price you pay for entertainment.
I have written some silly and serious essays, stories, even a speech in my early school years. Mostly, I've read... books, scripts, plays, instruction manuals, you name it. And with that love of reading (and watching films, though I failed to mention it) comes a desire to create something for others to enjoy as well. at least for me, anyway. The bug has bit me and the itch must be scratched now. So, hopefully, out of this attic, that is my mind, will soon emerge something glorious and treasure-like for all to enjoy. Wish me luck, folks. I will certainly need it. -Alysia
