About Bruce

My name is Bruce Spiegelman and I've lived a life of reinvention -- for the most part successfully.

At this stage of my life (and for the rest of it) I am a screenwriter. For the most part successful. I began writing at the age of fifty and sold my first screenplay three years later. I followed it with a few more sales.  Along the way I learned to write rom-coms, faith-and-family friendly holiday features, adaptations of thriller and horror novels, and tried my hand at most genres. Mostly successfully.

I've been writing and making a living at it for ten years now, and I have more ideas and drive than I did when I first started.

I also have a wealth of life experiences to draw on -- all those reinventions! I've owned and operated a chain of retail stores. I've played poker professionally. I started my first business at the age of fifteen. I've managed fine dining restaurants and well-known pizza chains. I've done end-of-life health care, and all along the way have volunteered in my communities with under served populations. I've (mostly successfully) raised children, sold business, and bought others.

Reinvention is not just a way to success. It's also a way to build life  experiences that allow me to touch audiences.

Unique traits: I often take a break from the internet on my computer to check out the internet on my phone.
