Wayne Schotten

Born in small town Ohio, has lived entire adult life in California. Worked in film production as director, editor, writer, cinematographer, actor, production supervisor, gaffer, sound recordist and grip. The only film craft never learned was hair and makeup.

Genres include feature films, short subjects and documentaries.

Related experience includes film laboratory engineering, custom loudspeaker and audio designs, installation of fine sound systems, and union projectionist.

Education in all aspects of production and post production consists of apprenticeships in Hollywood, working in assistant positions and other on-the-job experiences and UCLA Cinema Dept. Acting training includes the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Bennes Marden School of Acting in Hollywood, and Ann Macy's classes in San Francisco.
Taught cinema seminars at the San Francisco Art Institute. Counselor to film students privately and at the San Francisco Art Institute.
