I’ve been a working member of the entertainment industry for over twenty-five years, with extensive experience in public relation, artist development, music clearance, supervision and licensing. I am also Director of Programming for Nashville Women in Film & TV.
As a publicist, I worked with a small boutique PR firm, with a clientele that included comedians, (Cheech Marin), child stars (Todd Bridges) and actors on their way to stardom (Lawrence Fishburne and Regina King). I worked with small indie music labels (still running the artist owned, Chauffeur Records) and spent 15 years at Paramount Television’s Music Division. At Paramount TV (now CBS Studios) I placed music in Paramount’s network, syndicated and cable television programs, including “Girlfriends,” “The Game,” “Medium,” “Frasier” and four of the five “Star Trek” series.
I moved to Nashville in 2007 where I became much more involved on the music side. I work with publishers and indie artists placing music in film, as well as supervising music for independent film projects. I have become more interested in production and am currently working a new Nashville based entertainment magazine series, “HotSpot Nashville” and I coordinate networking events for film and music makers via an organization called Hollywood Meets Nashville.
As programming Director for Nashville WIFT, I provide educational opportunities for our members via seminars, master classes and internships with local production entities.
