Sherrie Sanet was born in New York City and moved to Westchester when she was five.
As a child, she would visit her grandparents in Miami Beach where she and a friend would frequent posh hotel lobbies to people watch and make up funny stories about them. She loves to work. Her favorite job was driving a Good Humor truck – no contest. She has always been a free spirit and is well traveled, having lived in Florence, Italy for a year, working and crocheting hats in a boutique, while she attended the l’Universita di Firenze. An alumnus of USC Film School, she is a member of the Film Editors Guild. Sherrie is a trouper. After more than thirty-six hours of labor, she gave birth to a beautiful son at home, underwater. It was the most empowering experience of her life. Leaving the cutting room to run her husband’s chiropractic practice, she returned fourteen years later to Fox Film, in Feature Post Production. Sherrie holds a California real estate license, for which she apologizes in advance. After moving to Austin, Texas with her husband and son, she started writing screenplays again and was blessed with her first dog, a frenchie named Lily, who she loved too much. Sherrie now lives on Whidbey Island with her husband where she continues to write, cook, and grow indoor vegetables.
