About Pamela

Pamela Segger comes from a musical theatre and Finance background. She has been Executive Director and Lead Programmer of Lunenburg Doc Fest (LDF) since 2014. LDF is a 4-day documentary, conference and industry market in UNESCO Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. Pamela came to film through through her passion for screenwriting, completing the UCLA Feature Film Writing program before acting in numerous screen-based projects to get in on the “Action.” Her dark comedy and dramedy scripts have placed in finals at several screenwriting contests. Pamela serves as a board member and co-programmer of Women in Film and Television Atlantic (WIFT-At) and also founded and serves as Lead of the LDF Atlantic Canada Delegation, a year-round initiative that promotes and creates opportunities internationally for 35+ Atlantic Canadian film producers and directors at such markets as Berlinale, DOC NYC, Hot Docs, CPH:DOX and Sundance Film Festival. Pamela recently produced and co-wrote a short that is enjoying a robust festival run and is currently producing a feature horror film and a feature documentary. Pamela shares her love of story and screen arts as a panelist, host, presenter, juror, screener, consultant and programmer with various organizations and festivals such as Digi60 Ottawa, WIFT-At, Screen Nova Scotia, Atlantic French Embassy, Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative, Tupelo Film Festival, Film Score, Scruffy City Film & Music Festival, San Luis Obispo International Film Festival and AFI Docs. Pamela loves books, international travel, and will run for tacos, dark chocolate, oysters, and wine... :)
