It's a bit difficult, since there's not a whole lot of that going on in this area. As a result, I'm in need of ramping up my own general equipment for a shoot, so I put together an Amazon Wishlist of very modest gear that I'm trying to crowdfund (see the link at the beginning). I've prioritized them too! Unlike a Kickstarter/IndieGoGo, here you'd know exactly what you'd be funding to help get our Midwestern film crew and project up and running. If anyone can help with anything on this list, there's IMDb credits in it for you. From "Thanks" to "Associate Producer" and "Executive Producer". It'd mean a lot! I got advice on all of this gear from this very helpful no/low-budget filmmaking equipment guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ4l97wtoFc For more info on me, visit http://www.xanderdavis.com — Thank you for your time and consideration.

I've been working in the video games industry (Darksiders 2, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Lichdom, End of Nations, Think Tank!) for 5 years and graphic design for 10 years. I have my own indie studio Astrogun, licensed by Nintendo. And I'm currently in Celina, Ohio for the time being, but might head to Chicago next.
This project is my first fully-produced motion comics test, recreating the final scene in Fight Club. This is ONLY a test as a fan-production, so I could learn how to best effectively approach creating my own original motion comics next.
2011 — On a recent trip, I got a bunch of shots with an iPhone 4S (which can shoot at 1080p). Just some airport, airplane and hotel shots, mostly. I wanted to see what the new camera could do and it's pretty cool!
The following is a VFX test made in a few hours for a potential forthcoming short film project. This contains seven VFX shots. I appear in this test, but will be casting all roles for the actual film. The purpose of this was mainly to see if these kinds of shots were even possible with limited resources.
