Alessandra’s passion for creative arts began a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, at a Chicago movie theatre drive-in while watching Spike Lee’s "School Daze".
After observing how storytelling could positively change people’s hearts, Alessandra began writing and performing in independent films and web series. Pinkston’s award-winning film, "The Testament of Karma", was showcased to audiences nationwide and won the "Audience Award" at the Black Harvest Film Festival and the "Curator’s Choice Award" at the IBWFF. She also received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in the film "Swhadisthana".
Pinkston’s latest film, "A.E.: Artificial Evolution", was showcased at the Martha's Vineyard African American Virtual Film Festival, reaching over 15,000 viewers. The film will next be showcased at the San Diego Black Film Festival in 2024.
