My spec TV pilot "Wickenburg" has (so far) made it to the 2022 finals of the Santa Barbara Int'l summer screenwriting contest; the semifinalist round of Scriptation; quarterfinalist in Table Read My Screenplay, Emerging Screenwriters, and LA Screenplay Summer contest; first place in the Kay Snow (Willamette Writers, Oregon) awards 2022.
In 2020, my feature script "Paint for Your Life" (about the art forger Han van Meegeren) made it to the semifinals in two contests: Finish Line and Scriptation. I have an Oregon Book Award for Drama (2004) for coauthoring "Vitriol & Violets", a play about the fascinatin' denizens of the Algonquin Round Table.
My first paid writing gig was :30 and :60 radio commercial scripts. Great learning experience! In the last 20 years, I've written and/or edited a lot of white papers, use cases, blog posts, and web copy for clients in high tech, health and wellness, the built environment, and performing arts, and grant applications for arts-related nonprofits. It's all about stories.
I can lead or follow, and I'm good with people. And I make deadlines.
