About Erika

Born and raised in Canada, Erika is a professional performer with over 20 years of experience on stage and in front of the camera. As an active member of the Michigan creative community, she has been cast in a variety of supporting roles in 25 different independent film and TV roles over the past 6 years.

Erika graduated with a BA in Theater from The University of Alberta, Augustana Campus, in 1995. Following this, she jetted off to the West coast to continue her theater studies at Studio 58, Langara College, in Vancouver, BC. Then ended up attending the professional Acting Program on Gabriola Island, The C.E.N.T.E.R, headed up by Anthony Holland and Catherine Caines.

Ending up back in Edmonton in 1997, Erika spent the majority of the next 6 years acting at a musical dinner theater called “Celebrations” as well as hitting a couple of stages in Calgary, Alberta to perform in King Lear with the Calgary Shakespeare Co. and Ten Little Indians at the Pleiades Theater.

In 2003, life took her on a new adventure that brought her down to the USA with her husband. She, and her husband, Dale, co-owned and ran, along with Dominik Hasek formally with the Red Wings, an athletic apparel line called Dominator Clothing.

In 2012, Erika began to work with MICA Entertainment, a film Financing company, in the role of portfolio management. MICA Entertainment has financed 9 films between 2012-2016 with their latest film “Lost City of Z” recently being chosen for the final gala premiere at the 2016 New York Film Festival.

Although Erika loves being involved in the process of packaging, producing and back end managing of films, she has never lost her passion for performing. While living in Michigan she has been involved acting in numerous productions, both on stage and in front of the camera. She most recently played the role of Queen Elizabeth with the Royal Oak Shakspeare Company. You can also see her in the upcoming film, “Before I Wake”.
