Just moved to Hotlanta last fall from Florida! On my 2nd show here! I'm currently doing Taken 3 as Set Designer & Graphic Artist. I love bouncing between working out the logistics of building a 150 foot storm drain system and then crafting up an old Can Sign. If your curious, check out my portfolios...

Great to have you here, Jeffrey. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks much Shawn! I also just got into the local here. What a great city. I've shot all over the US & Canada and I can't think of any place else where you can find a 1700's Plantation Estate and fift...

Need original reasons for Chronic Depression.

I'm writing a new short script and the hero created is suffering from chronic depression but masks it with black market prescription "upper" drugs. Everything was going fine when writing until I realized I had no clue why she suffered from chronic depression in the first place. I ran through her bac...

People fall into chronic depression when life lets them down and their dreams are lost. You have to ask "What did she-he come down here for?"

Nikki April Lee

Chemical imbalances....... now there's a challenge. LOL. The only bad things that's happened to her in her past (so far) is her parents' death in a car accident and she being diagnosed with infertilit...

Genetics? Not very interesting but it happens.

What are her goals in life? What does she want to win? Why is the Antagaonist keeping her from reaching her goals? What is the Hero willing to do in an extreme measure to defeat the Antagonist and win? That should help you determine what caused her chronic depression.

Jeffrey Ginn

Exactly... something is out of balance; her life, her trust; something or someone she lost, etc. This is part of or close to the inciting incident. If she knows what her ultimate goal is; which must i...

Epic Uplifting Music

Another uplifting epic music track I wrote months ago. It wasn't for any film or project in particular, but just for myself. It's really nice to do that every now and then and just write whatever comes to you, whatever inspires you. Let me know what you think! http://youtu.be/DWGk5FpOVEg...

Nice timing.

Wow. This is great filmmusic. It inspires me to write a certain story. That's cool. We writers and composers should exchange our work more often to get inspired by each other. Thanks for sharing!

Overwhelmed by the continuos response to Arise, eventhough I posted it a long time ago, thank you everyone very very much! I'm releasing an album soon so I'll post it here in case you all want to hear more epic uplifting music I've written.

What are your writing habits like?

So, I have two rather insanely good story ideas that I am working on. How do you write? Do you have a set time that you write? do you use a program or a notebook? I read somewhere that some people have to write standing up. Do you have a quirk? What's your process?

Rick Shorrock

As a Christian filmmaker, I gotta give the cred to God. He brought me a Christian thriller script that hopefully I will finish this week. I've been working on this thing, which will as I see it be a p...

I tend to wake up in the middle of the night and write. I'll just go to town till sun up. That's when the best stuff happens for me.

Whenever the inspiration, story idea, element or component comes to me I pen/pencil it down. I am currently writing 2-3 hours every other day for a project. I use several coffee shops. Quiet or not, doesn't bother me, and I prefer using a notebook with Final draft.

Marie Pier Perreault

I mostly write wherever I can. Inspiration most often strikes when I'm at work or when I'm in no position to write...I take a lot of notes. On anything. At any time of day or night. I can play with an...

I prep for it. Like Kelta said, I use music to keep me on track. The very first thing I do when starting a new screenplay is I put the score together. As I think about the major scenes in the script,...
