About Andrea
A Chi-town girl with LA dreams. I fell in love with film when I snuck on set when they filmed Batman Begins with Christian Bale in Chicago. Ever since then, I've had the bug to act and write. In college I interned for a production company on an indie feature, Protection, which was a wild experience.
I acted in student films in college and I act in a lot of local theater here in Chicago. I recently finished a stint on the 2018 season of Empire since it's been filming here, which was a great experience. I feel alive when I can step into a character and be around other creative people on set.
Over the past few years, I've attended numerous conferences (American Film Market, Winston Baker), film festivals (Austin, Nashville, Flyway), and Women in Film events where I've met so many incredible creators and producers many who I've invited to stay connected with me here.
I also enjoy screenwriting on the side and have completed a short film and a feature screenplay. I've been a freelance writer, and I'm trying my hand at writing more extensively now.
I love discussing film. Proud to admit I love some brilliant films, but equally proud to admit I love some awful ones, too.
Not sure where this journey is going to take me. I've considered Los Angeles, Atlanta and even London. Always interested in hearing the perspective and experiences of others!
