About Paco

Francisco (Paco) Rafael Vázquez - Ratcliffe, was born on October 20, 1967 in San Juan.

During the last 26 years, Paco has worked with different publishers, advertising agencies, TV stations, productions companies and own productions. His most distinguished customers have been: Target Group publications, The Cardiovascular Center of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, El Nuevo Día newspaper, Puerto Rican Cement, The American Heart Association, Telemundo NBC and the Fort Worth Star Telegram.

Being a photographer was only part of his dreams. His main interest has always been film making. That’s when The Red Cillindrium idea was born. The original concept came from the main actor of the film, Mr-E. The movie is a mute sci-fi comedy, which commemorates the birth of cinema as a new form of art. By June 15, 2002 The Red Cillidrium won 3rd place at the Liberty Film Festival in Dallas, Texas and 1st place in the International Public Film in New York as best experimental film.

By the year 2004 he shot his second short film. It went by the name of White Skies, and it a sub-realistic psychological drama about the women that have been killed in Juarez, Mexico.

During the year 2004, he also worked as the Cinematographer of two feature films: The Wrong Hit and Tiempo de Morir (available). Both films were produced in the DFW area.

From 2001 to 2005, he worked for Telemundo Dallas, producing the studio news at 5:00 and 10:00 PM. He also directed someTV shows (Persiguiendo Injusticias) for Telemundo International in Miami, Florida.

He also worked as a photojournalist for the Spanish version of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Diario La Estrella) from 2003 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2011, he produced and directed several music videos, TV shows, TV ads, documentaries, corporate videos and infomercials.

In February 2012, Paco moves back to Puerto Rico to produce La Gran Falacia, a documentary about the political, social and economic situation of the Island.

As today, he is in post-production of his feature film: Criminal Children.
