I try to make it "not" all about me. I spend a lot of my time in my head, at the keyboard, with my characters, writing my first novel. Season's greetings and all other manner of greetings.

I'm a writer and currently working on an Indiegogo project titled "Searching for Me: Rediscovering the Self" in which I plan to go into psychiatric consultation twice a week for six months. The book will be about that journey. I'm also writing a screenplay about a woman deputy who must interrogate a serial killer who is her ex boyfriend (high school) and father of her daughter.
I hit a button next to the "like" for your comment, but don't know what it means. Can't undo it. Anyway, sure, I'll keep you posted. I appreciate the feedback.
Been working on writing some screen plays and have two in 2nd draft status. I go over them and try and see if I made any mistakes but sometimes I feel like sometimes my dialogue might be the problem. I posted my scripts to Amazon Studios but you don't get much feedback there from the site or people...

Yep I was one of the actors who did the readings for LSF, and having different directors was great - some re-edited a lot, others did not.
Yes, I was also one of the actors - not one of the writers! It was fascinating. the approaches were so different. Most of my directors did cut lots, though :)
I'm always aware of that quote from a Hollywood director who referred to a screenplay as "120 pages of suggestions"!
Yes - once you hand it over to the director, it's not yours any more! \O/ It's a framework, basically. :D
Great quote, Tom, which director made, it?

I'm fictionalizing characters based on some in the book. I love screenwriting more than any other form, but it's hard to keep working on a script because the chance of selling it, if you don't know someone, is like Lotto gambling. My agent is a literary agent and doesn't handle scripts unless there is an offer to option the book. Hope to meet people here who love writing, producing, acting, directing....such a great business.
