About Sérgio

Nowadays, I see myself as a Media Fixer that has gone all the way from analogic film to digital world of audiovisual.
I'm a cinephile who became a filmmaker, through self-taught studies, technical courses and field practice.
Started as Assistant Director in feature films (solo or overlapping with locations & casting), following to TV productions, firstly in fiction (TV films & series), and later on in TVC's ( a LOT... and I mean it), documentaries, live & entertainment shows.
I had a voluntary sabbatical period, working only as casting director, and 8 years ago I decided to get back to the action work, this time focused on production (not in a exclusive way) and became a Fixer, the trendy job of the moment.

My bio has countless productions, the vast majority for foreign clients from all over the world, in which I wore various hats like:
2nd Unit Director, 1st AD, Casting Director, Location Scouter/Manager, Executive Producer, Fixer, Prod. Manager, Prod. Consultant, Content Searcher, Translator & Subtitler, Actor or Military Adviser.

Based in Lisbon, I'm aware of the best locations and talents all over my country.

I'm proud to have been able to assist talented filmmakers like Bille August, Nikita Mikhalkov, Raoul Ruiz, Ken McMullen, Hector Babenco or Gérard Jugnot, and lucky to have shared the set with such movie stars as Meryl Streep, Jeremy Irons, Glenn Close, Wynona Ryder, Antonio Banderas, Julia Ormond, John Hurt, David Warner, Vanessa Redgrave, Michel Serrault and Christophe Lambert, to name just a few...
