Clint Murphy attended George Brown's film study program and focused his attention on screenwriting. In 2011 Dead Frost a supercharged zombie horror, which was a preliminary finalist in the CWA horror category. In 2012 Clint switched gears, he wrote and produced two comedic short films called 430, and 445 The Meeting. By 2017 Clint received his first Actra credit for co-writing a Christmas short called The Silver Angel. That year The Silver Angel went on to win the Silver Remi at Houston's Worldfest Short Film Festival. Later in the year, Clint's original TV pilot earned a quarterfinal placement at the Creative World Award Orginal Television Drama section and a Second Rounder finalist at The Austin Film Festival AMC One Hour Pilot contest.
With continued success in 2018, Soul Mecha was a semifinalist in two contests: Atlanta Film Festival TV One Hour, and ISA (International Screenwriters Association) Top 100 Table Read my Screenplay Austin. In that same year, Clint's newest original pilot Syfin debuted at Working the Scene in Colour 6 and selected for WTSC The Room. This action-packed TV pilot was a quarterfinalist in the Fall of 2018 Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards TV competition. With this creative momentum in his corner, 2019 saw Soul Mecha receive another quarterfinal placement from ScreenCraft Pilot Launch TV Script Contest, with the year ending on a high note Soul Mecha made Barnstorm Media's TV contest Shortlist.
Now in 2020, a new year brings new expectations, and early this year Clint recieved two quarterfinal placements. One was from the Richmond Film Festival, Original Teleplay contest for Soul Mecha. The other was from Scriptapalooza in the One Hour Drama Category for his TV spec Homeland - Terms and Altered Conditions. Clint continues to push his imagination and with his love for storytelling.
His newest project The Road Home was a recipient of the 2020 Magee TV Diverse Screenwriters Award for the Toronto Screenwriter’s Conference and a Semifinalist in the Austin Film Festival. With Soul Mecha's continued success it also earned an official selection from the Six-page script podcast, which will be airing in 2021.
Soul Mecha Sci-fi A man with no memory and a mechanized drone are found near a coastal village. With the villagers fearing the man is a threat, a small group of warriors bands together to protect the mystery man in order to discover the real threat.
The Road Home Sci-fi An Army Veteran returns home from an extended tour in Afghanistan. He learns his family is missing while questioning their whereabouts he discovers his family and friends are unaware of their existence. With this new reality, he has to navigate and solve the mystery of their disappearance.
Arclight Sci-fi The last of Michael's Archangels battles a demon-possessed cult who partners with an unforeseen evil to undo the realm of man.
