Not sure how all this works but here goes... My intention was to join Stage 32 when I returned from the summer holidays in August, but like many good intentions, this slipped to the back burner until I was invited by a fellow writer to join. Thank you Jeremy. At the moment I am concentrating on spec screenplays. I have had several short films made, two were optioned and made in the States. I have had a feature film optioned too. This year I have been concentrating on structure, yes, it should have been a basic but I managed to side slip it for years – good ideas I’ve had and worked on but was the structure good? Now I’m putting that right and hope I can still keep some sparkle in the scripts I’m working on.

Hi Stage 32 people. I've been a member for some time, but finally found a moment to say hello. I've worked in TV and cinema as writer and as director, and made just about everything from cinema feature, drama, documentary, drama-doc... I helped found the London Screenwiters' Workshop, many years ago, which turned out to be the first screenwriters workshop in the world (who knew?) and is now known as Euroscript. I like telling stories in any medium. I've got a book coming out in October, with Hodder & Stoughton - "Teach Yourself: Complete Screenwriting Course", of which I'm very proud, and a novel in the spring (crime/satire) of which I'm just as proud. And I like being in contact with other writers and directors and sharing expertise. I'm going to be doing a number workshops in the next few months to help promote the first book - in London and elsewhere in the UK and Europe - some free or nominal price. I'm also going to be at the London Screenwriters' Festival at the end of October, so I hope to meet many S32 members face-to-face, as well as on screen here. Do say hi.
